Marine Weather Warning for the MarianasWritten by Chelsea Cruz
The National Weather Service in Tiyan, Guam has issued a small craft advisory for the coastal waters of Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan which is in effect until 4pm on Friday.
NWS says, "A tropical disturbance passing south of Guam is already creating moderate to strong winds in Saipan waters. These winds will spread southward . . . arriving in Guam waters around midnight."
Combined seas are to reach eight to ten feet and then subside late Friday afternoon.
A small craft advisory means high winds are causing wave conditions to become hazardous to small crafts. All inexperienced mariner should avoid sailing in these conditions.
